Cut/Copy /Paste
You have a document or email you are working on and you want to copy or cut either some text or an image. There are different ways to Cut/Copy & Paste text or an image depending on the program you are using. This lesson is based on Word 2010 but the skills you learn here are adaptable to many other programs and versions
2 WAYS
There are 2 main ways you can Cut Copy and Paste.
- You can use the menu [watch Video] or
- you can Right click and use the Options Menu.
I am a 'Right clicker' from way back as sometimes Menus are not easily found, don't exist or the act of looking up to find what I want is just distracting.
USING RIGHT CLICK
The easiest way to Cut/Copy and Paste is to use the Edit Menu that appears when you
Right Click in a document
- The first thing to do is decide whether you want to copy it or cut it out and paste it somewhere else
- The next thing is to select the text or image to be copied or moved
- You can then paste this selection into a new position in the same document or another one
When you select text then use the Cut or Copy command,
your Operating System places it on what is normally an invisible Clipboard.
